Restoration begins with taking the car totally apart. The body of this 1952 series 2 B20 was disassembled, then the body shipped to Milwaukee and dipped. It was then taken to Detroit to be bath emersed, and fully epoxy-primed. The epoxy primer was removed wherever finish paint will be applied.
Note the aluminum floor in the trunk (s.1-3) removed and the big opening (pending reinstallation). An interesting mixture of welding techniques can be found, both hand-applied gas and electric. The car is an interesting mixture of a factory base structure (floor pan, firewall) with a lot of hand made panels on top. (Photos are from January, 2006)
